NAPLES, FL. -- The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association reported that its June 2005 Booked Orders Index was 161 down 26 points or a decrease of 14% from May 2005's Index of 187 (1990=100). The June 2005 Index represents an increase of 4% from the June 2004 Index of 155.
June Booked Orders Indexes were 189 for Bulk Handling Equipment* and 140 for Unit Handling Equipment*(1990=100).
The Twelve-Month Index for Booked Orders was 157 in June. Index represents no change from May 2005's Twelve-Month Index of 157.
The CEMA Billed Sales (shipments) Index was 157 in June up 13 points or an increase of 9% from the May Index of 144. The June 2005 Index represents a decrease of 19% from the June 2004 Index of 194.
June Billed Sales Indexes were 174 for Bulk Handling Equipment* and 155 for Unit Handling Equipment*(1990=100).
The Twelve-Month Index for Billed Sales was 165 in June. Index represents
a decrease of 2% from May 2005's Twelve-Month Index of 168.
* Since Bulk Handling Systems booked and billed sales are reported quarterly, they are averaged back to the two preceding months to enable a running monthly index.
