NAPLES, FL. -- The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association reported that its June 2006 Booked Orders Index was 135 down 8 points or a decrease of 6% from May 2006's Index of 143 (1990=100). The June 2006 Index represents a decrease of 11% from the June 2005 Index of 152.
June Booked Orders Indexes were 195 for Bulk Handling Equipment* and 114 for Unit Handling Equipment*(1990=100).
The Twelve-Month Index for Booked Orders was 142 in June. Index in June is down 1 point or 1% from May 2006's Twelve-Month Index of 143.
The CEMA Billed Sales (shipments) Index was 151 in June down 1 point or a decrease of 1% from the May Index of 152. The June 2006 Index represents an increase of 2% from the June 2005 Index of 148.
June Billed Sales Indexes were 203 for Bulk Handling Equipment* and 146 for Unit Handling Equipment*(1990=100).
The Twelve-Month Index for Billed Sales was 143 in June. Index in June represents no change from May 2006's Twelve-Month Index of 143.
* Since Bulk Handling Systems booked and billed sales are reported quarterly, they are averaged back to the two preceding months to enable a running monthly index.
