NAPLES, FL. -- The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association reported that its November 2002 Booked Orders Index was 155 up 24 points or an increase of 18% from October 2002’s Index of 131 (1990=100). The November 2002 Index represents an increase of 27% from the November 2001 Index of 122.

November Booked Orders Indexes were 65 for Bulk Handling Equipment* and 185 for Unit Handling Equipment*(1990=100).

The Twelve-Month Index for Booked Orders was 131 in November. Index represents an increase of 2% from October 2002’s Twelve-Month Index of 128.

The CEMA Billed Sales (shipments) Index was 134 in November down 29 points or a decrease of 18% from the October Index of 163. The November 2002 Index represents a decrease of 32% from the November 2001 Index of 198.

November Billed Sales Indexes were 69 for Bulk Handling Equipment* and 133 for Unit Handling Equipment*(1990=100).

The Twelve-Month Index for Billed Sales was 173 in November. Index represents a decrease of 3% from October 2002’s Twelve-Month Index of 178.

 

 


* Since Bulk Handling Systems booked and billed sales are reported quarterly, they are averaged back to the two preceding months to enable a running monthly index.
