RELEASE ON RECEIPT
NAPLES, FL. -- The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association reported that
its November 2004 Booked Orders Index was 137 down 16 points or a decrease of
11% from October 2004's Index of 153 (1990=100). The November 2004 Index represents
an increase of 11% from the November 2003 Index of 123.
November Booked Orders Indexes were 70 for Bulk Handling Equipment* and 155 for Unit Handling Equipment*(1990=100).
The Twelve-Month Index for Booked Orders was 155 in November. Index represents an increase of 1% from October 2004's Twelve-Month Index of 154.
The CEMA Billed Sales (shipments) Index was 136 in November down 21 points or a decrease of 13% from the October Index of 157. The November 2004 Index represents an increase of 9% from the November 2003 Index of 124.
October Billed Sales Indexes were 64 for Bulk Handling Equipment* and 171
for Unit Handling Equipment*(1990=100).
* Since Bulk Handling Systems booked and billed sales are reported quarterly, they are averaged back to the two preceding months to enable a running monthly index.
