NAPLES, FL. -- The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association reported that its November 2006 Booked Orders Index was 124 down 1 point or a decrease of 1% from October 2006's Index of 125 (1990=100). The November 2006 Index represents a decrease of 27% from the November 2005 Index of 170.
November Booked Orders Indexes were 177 for Bulk Handling Equipment* and 106 for Unit Handling Equipment*(1990=100).
The Twelve-Month Index for Booked Orders was 139 in November. Index in November is down 4 points or 3% from October 2006's Twelve-Month Index of 143.
The CEMA Billed Sales (shipments) Index was 126 in November down 11 points or a decrease of 8% from the October Index of 137. The November 2006 Index represents a decrease of 12% from the November 2005 Index of 144.
November Billed Sales Indexes were 178 for Bulk Handling Equipment* and 118 for Unit Handling Equipment*(1990=100).
The Twelve-Month Index for Billed Sales was 142 in November. Index in November
is down 2 points or 1% from October 2006's Twelve-Month Index of 144.
* Since Bulk Handling Systems booked and billed sales are reported quarterly, they are averaged back to the two preceding months to enable a running monthly index.
