NAPLES, FL. -- The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association reported that its November 2007 Booked Orders Index was 145 up 21 points or an increase of 17% from October 2007's Index of 124 (1990=100). The November 2007 Index represents an increase of 11% from the November 2006 Index of 131.
November Booked Orders Indexes were 185 for Bulk Handling Equipment* and 132 for Unit Handling Equipment*(1990=100).
The Twelve-Month Index for Booked Orders was 156 in November. Index in November represents an increase of 1% from October 2007's Twelve-Month Index of 155.
The CEMA Billed Sales (shipments) Index was 131 in November. Index in November is down 9 points or 6% from October 2007's Index of 140. The November 2007 Index represents an increase of 4 points or 3% from the November 2006 Index of 127.
November Billed Sales Indexes were 180 for Bulk Handling Equipment* and 126 for Unit Handling Equipment*(1990=100).
The Twelve-Month Index for Billed Sales was 146 in November. Index in November
is unchanged from October 2007's Twelve-Month Index of 146.
* Since Bulk Handling Systems booked and billed sales are reported quarterly, they are averaged back to the two preceding months to enable a running monthly index.
