NAPLES, FL. -- The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association reported that its October 2007 Booked Orders Index was 124 down 101 points or a decrease of 45% from September 2007's Index of 225 (1990=100). The October 2007 Index represents a decrease of 5% from the October 2006 Index of 131.
October Booked Orders Indexes were 211 for Bulk Handling Equipment* and 93 for Unit Handling Equipment*(1990=100).
The Twelve-Month Index for Booked Orders was 155 in October. Index in October represents a decrease of 1% from September 2007's Twelve-Month Index of 156.
The CEMA Billed Sales (shipments) Index was 140 in October. Index in October is down 10 points or 7% from September 2007's Index of 150. The October 2007 Index represents an increase of 1 points or 1% from the October 2006 Index of 139.
October Billed Sales Indexes were 207 for Bulk Handling Equipment* and 129 for Unit Handling Equipment*(1990=100).
The Twelve-Month Index for Billed Sales was 146 in October. Index in Octber
is unchanged from September 2007's Twelve-Month Index of 146.
* Since Bulk Handling Systems booked and billed sales are reported quarterly, they are averaged back to the two preceding months to enable a running monthly index.
