NAPLES, FL. -- The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association reported that its September 2005 Booked Orders Index was 160 up 34 points or an increase of 27% from August 2005's Index of 126 (1990=100). The September 2005 Index represents an increase of 5% from the September 2004 Index of 152.
September Booked Orders Indexes were 178 for Bulk Handling Equipment* and 149 for Unit Handling Equipment*(1990=100).
The Twelve-Month Index for Booked Orders was 152 in September. Index represents an increase of 1% from August 2005's Twelve-Month Index of 151.
The CEMA Billed Sales (shipments) Index was 161 in September down 1 point or a decrease of 1% from the August Index of 162. The September 2005 Index represents a decrease of 28% from the September 2004 Index of 223.
September Billed Sales Indexes were 177 for Bulk Handling Equipment* and 166 for Unit Handling Equipment*(1990=100).
The Twelve-Month Index for Billed Sales was 152 in September. Index represents
a decrease of 3% from August 2005's Twelve-Month Index of 157.
* Since Bulk Handling Systems booked and billed sales are reported quarterly, they are averaged back to the two preceding months to enable a running monthly index.
