CEMA STATISTICS FEBRUARY 2017 – ARE OUT!

CEMA Statistics – February 2017

February 2017 booked orders decreased 26.4% when compared to February 2016 orders!
 

 

NAPLES, FL – The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association reported that its February 2017 Booked Orders decreased 26.4% when compared to February 2016 orders.

February 2017 booked orders when compared to January 2017 booked orders were down 28.7%.

January Booked Orders were up 0.4% for Bulk Handling Equipment and down 39.4% for Unit Handling Equipment when compared to January.

CEMA’s February 2017 Billed Sales (shipments) increased by 0.7% when compared to February 2016 sales.

February 2017 billed sales when compared to January 2017 billed sales were up 4.5%.

February Billed Sales were down 4.7% for Bulk Handling Equipment and up 5.4% for Unit Handling Equipment when compared to January.

January 2017 booked orders when compared to December 2016 booked orders were down 21.0%.

January Booked Orders were up 4.2% for Bulk Handling Equipment and down 27.4% for Unit Handling Equipment when compared to December.

CEMA’s January 2017 Billed Sales (shipments) increased by 2.1% when compared to January 2016 sales.

January 2017 billed sales when compared to December 2016 billed sales were up 3.2%.

CEMA reports that 2016 shipments in North America were up 1.6%!
 

 

NAPLES, FL – The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) reports that 2016 shipments in North America were up 1.6%  CEMA estimates that shipments totaled $12.188 billion for 2016, a record level and an increase of $265 million from 2015 shipments of $11.923 billion.

CEMA estimates that new orders totaled $12.324 billion in 2016.  New orders in 2016 were $1.17 billion more than 2015, representing an increase of 9.8%.

Unit Handling orders were up 17.0% and shipments were up 5.8%.  In the Bulk Conveying area, orders were down 5.4% and shipments …

Founded in 1944, family-owned Anderson-Crane Company  is on a roll.  This manufacturer of grain conveyor systems is growing faster, and buying faster equipment to keep up with the growth of their company and making plans to double the size of their factory that’s located in Litchfield, MN.

Their growth is coming from the rush of new orders from breweries, taconite mills and animal-feed mills in the US, Vietnam, Thailand, Bangladesh and Trinidad.  Due to their growth, the shop has recently purchased a high-tech water-jet cutter made by Jet Edge of St. Michael.  This will replace their jagged-edged …
